if you look at all the things he´s done for the guitar and the music. He´s mastero nr 1
i think he´s the best cause he´s got it all. technique and musicality.
players like .tomatito and v amigo.gerardo nunez etc are all great players thta will be remeberd in history. But i think true what they say. Thers Paco and then theres the rest of us.

Gosh.... I didn't know that anyone disagreed with that statement. Well, I guess maybe someone thinks that Michael Jordan wasn't the best basketball player, or that Bill Gates is the richest man.

One day when I was taking a lesson from El Carbonero in Jerez this kid asked, "Who's a better guitarist, Paco Cepero or Paco de Lucia"? El Carbonero looked at the kid and said, "How can you even ask a question like that? Paco Cepero is a good guitarist, but Paco de Lucia is....ah....he's....he's....THE POPE!
