dreams about playing

so last night, i was in a crowded room. everything was still and silent. the singer was waiting for me to start. we were about to play a tangos. my heart was beating faster and faster in anticipation. my feeling was a mixture of fear and excitement. it was my first time performing in front of so many people.

i had an idea in my head for a falsetta that i was going to improvise. i imagined how the first chord would sound before i played it. i struck the strings with my thumb and to my horror, my guitar was horribly out of tune! like not even a little. like WAY off. i stopped and tried to re tune quickly. it WOULDN'T tune. it just kept getting flatter and flatter.

i walked off to the side to check out what the heck happened to my guitar. they couldn't wait for me and guess what. they kicked me out and i was replaced!

. . . . .

now good thing that was all just a dream i had last night. lol.

anybody else ever have dreams/nightmares about performing or playing guitar in general?

oh, and any psychologists want to analyze my dream and tell me what it means?

Hey at...

You were probably drunk in the dream and turning the tuning knobs the wrong way.

You should have chucked the guitar at the other group's Cajon.

I had a really horrible dream once about buying a guitar from a shop, which turned out to be an absolute piece of junk.
The top was loose and there was a loudspeaker fitted to the inside of the soundhole, along with a cheap transistor amp, loose and rattling about inside along with a 9 volt battery!

Trouble was, in the dream, I had to pay the full price for it up front before they would even let me SEE it and the smarmy salesman just argued and totally refused to give me a refund or an exchange or a credit note of any kind.

I was about to strangle him when I woke up sweating with my hands around the pillow..

cheers,

Ron

Hey.....I had that dream too. I payed thousands for a new guitar and in the middle of playing on stage the neck came off in my hand. I was left holding the pieces of broken guitar. Then I noticed the back was filled with paper maché and all the gypsies were laughing at me.
I guess it was a dream related to being worried about an upcoming gig.
Luckily at that moment Angelina Jolie walked in and made me feel much better......

anybody have any pleasant guitar dreams? one time, i dreamed up a guitar lick and woke up immediately to try it out and it actually sounded pretty cool.

haha... you know, the strange thing is that that incident actually cured my guitar's bad intonation magically. i've spent hours on it, even brought it to a repair man. nothing worked as good as chucking it in a random direction and hitting a drum set. lol.
