Question for Ron

Hi Ron,

I hope you can help me with a chord progression I saw you do in one of your bulerias videos. I normally investigate on my own before asking for help, but the problem is that I'm not able to see your videos because neither my work computer or the ones at internet cafes can open the attachment. I had seen the video in question on my laptop back when I had internet at home.

Anyway, my question is this: I saw you do a very typical bulerias progression starting on (I think) Dm on the 5th fret, then G or G7 on the 3rd, then think to Cm on the 3rd, then F, and son on. I was looking for the video to see the chords that you used because I cant make it sound the same as yours or any other recordings. Unfortunately I cant view them and I cant think of any bulerias off the top of my head to look for on Youtube.

I hope you know what I'm talking about and I appreciate yours or anyone else's help...I really like the sound of that progression and I dont want to end up throwing a hairy krishna... or was it a hairy canary

All the best,

Vic

RE: Question for Ron (in reply to fevictor

Hi Victor,

I think you mean this...

Dm (5th fret)
G7 (just using barre on 3rd fret + 2 fingers)
C7 (same)
F7 (same as the G7 moved down 2 frets)
Bflat7
? (dunno the name , but it's barre 3rd fret + 6th string fret4 + 5th string fret5)
A (on 5th fret)

Is that the one?

cheers,

Ron

I think this is an estribillo? I was told to use this when a dancer exits. You can play these chords in open position too, which will be easier if you are not comfortable with barre chords yet.

Bb7/Ab is the written name, spoken we say B flat 7 with A flat in the bass.
