Don't sell yourself short django, compas is only a concept that explains a whole world of rhythm, and I think that people get so worried about it that it can hold them back, and that isn't what the concept is for. The concept of compas is supposed to free you to what is the flamenco rhythm which though may be different than any other kind of rhythm, is not impossible. Listen to it, and feel it, and then feel it and play it. It's that simple, and there are so many resources that are here to explain it, I think that when we make something in to a kind of cult, it then becomes strange and somehow we become indifferent. Remember first of all flamenco is music, song, rhythm and dance. And, it is to be enjoyed and not feared. That is my take on it..... Otherwise, why are so inspired by it that we want to play it? Why not just listen? Gary
