Gerardo Nunez new Album

Wow this year has been very exciting for cd releases , Jeronimo, Tomatito, and Gerardo Nunez.

I must admit even tho I love the guitarist Jeronimo some of the music in this album dosent grab me, I did get my hands on one of his demo cd tho ( the one he sends out to pple interested on booking him for a show) that is brilliant.

Tomatito's new album is greate !(is my favourite TOmatito album) I dont know if is just me but listening to Paco de Lucia, and Tomatito's most recent albums they sound more and more like Vicente Amigo. ( does anyone else hear this or is it just my imagination ? )Vicente must have been alot of years ahead of his time.

The latest release this year is Gerardo,s new album is soo rich in music I need to listen to all of it about 30 times just to know if I like it or not.

I love the excitment of listening to new albums of guitarists like : Tomatito, Paco, Gerardo, Riqueni, VICENTE. I love seeing what kind of sound they went for.
I must say that the sound of the guitar in Tomatito's and Gerardo's new album are out of this world, I have never heard anything so pure and clear.

Has anyone got any opinions on any of this albums ? Id like to know other users take on it.

Florian, since you like Tomatito's, Paco's, and Gerado's albums so much, you'll be excited to know that MIGUEL DE MARIA is coming out with an album! Well, okay maybe I dont' deserve to be in the same sentence...paragraph...well, maybe not even same book as them, but it's true. I have recorded a solea and Manana de Carnval. The album will be part flamenco, part classical, part latin american folk/pop songs--mostly guitar and percusion. I am excited of course to put this together and the recording process is very difficult but rewarding. I don't think it will please flamenco lovers much but might be excellent gifts for their friends...(hint hint).

WOW congratulations Miguel !!! I cant wait to hear it ! forghet the flamenco lovers buddy you please yourself first.
How far are you from finishing it ?? How about posting a litlle demo here ?

I been trying for so long to compose something of my own to make a litlle cd, as you know i love recording, I got a cute litlle setup, but between learning and practicing the stuff i do now with the group and working fulltime is very very slow, so far i got half of solea por buleria, 2 minutes of buleria and 3 minutes of tangos.
