I would say yes, but i dont know what a bulerias is. So i would trust Ricardos comment more and say NEVER.

RE: Quick Bulerias Question (in reply to Pimientito

so how often does this happen?
just as often as starting anywhere else. more often or less??

I haven't played a great deal of variations of bulerias but nearly all the falsetas I've learnt seem to have started on 12.

Ask Tony at your next lesson!

I'm no expert, but about half the falsetas I know start on 1, so I would say quite a lot of them.

Well if it starts on 1, I bet the phrase ends on 10. Just a wild guess.

Edit: just had another thought, perhaps the phrase really starts on 3, but there's an anacrusis on beats 1 and 2?

I cannot tell a lie, we covered this in his Bulerias class yesterday, so it's not a wild guess.

sorry for the jokes. Honestly, if you look at older styles of bulerias, you see many falsetas start on 1 compared to more modern variations....but the point of the joke is that information is rather arbitrary. THe important and difficult thing of compas is not where or how it starts, but more how you maintain and express and END it....
