Looking for Bulerias recordings: Cad...

Hi,
any good recordings to compare Bulerias de Cadiz, de Jerez and de Lebrija by?
(Preferably audio only --> "narrow broadband or broad narrowband")

What are looking for, guitar and/or cante?

Some recordings are combinations, usually Jerez guitar and Cádiz singing: Morao with La Perla, Cepero with Rancapino (two albums) and Santiago Donday, and Niño Jero with Juan Villar (several albums).

Jerez guitar and Lebrija singing: Parrilla with Curro Malena.

Lebrija guitar and others: Pedro Peña with the jerezanos Tío Borrico, La Periñaca and Terremoto and others.

That's my problem. I'm trying to find recordings that optimally demonstrate the different soniquetes

Buleria de cadiz check Chano Lobato. Also Paco de lucia with camaron, both are from cadiz area. La perla de cadiz with Cepero is great too.

De jerez try terremoto with manuel morao. Paquera with Parrilla. Borrico with Cepero. Luis el Zambo and Moraito. On tomatito's CD paseo de castaños, he does a juerga with Zambo and fernando de la morena. Compare his bulerias playing there with any other singer and you can see he applies the "jerez soniquete" to his accompaniment with Zambo and Fernando.

Lebrija-Bernarda or Fernanda with Pedro Bacan. Also ines bacan with pedro bacan.

There is also moron style Joselero and Diego del Gastor...but you did not ask. Also granada has unique things, the carmonas like Juan Habichuela or Pepe with singers like Morente or his daughter.

Even Sanlucar has unique things like a mix of cadiz and jerez. Try Maria Vargas with Manolo Sanlucar.

Ricardo

Thanks guys! Just the info I was looking for.
Henry: I wasn't aware of the "Noches Gitanas..." series. They'd be worth getting, just for the art-work

These CD's are great. There's three of them: los Zambo, los Moneo and los Morena. Moraito and son are all over it. It's like an encyclopedia of Jerez falsetas. AND it's cheap!

Good luck,

Changue
