El Duende (The Gremlin) Flamenco

I'm listening to Doblan Campanas...I think that's Granaianas, on El Duende Flamenco. Paco has elevated the technique of flamenco guitar to the highest humanly possibly peak. He has brought his Conde to the top of Mount Olympus. This arpeggios, picados, alzapua, seem to fulfill, if not transcend, the very possibilities of the guitar. The techniques are simple, but executed with incredible precision and speed. And wedded to each burst, the superhuman passages executed with nonchalance, is all of the passion and spirit of humanity and flamenco. Paco is the best!!

No, I'll have to get that someday. I have seen parts of it though. Enrique de Melchor, a totalgeek with thick glasses, rips the hell out of the guitar. I met him in the Caves of Nerja, seems about the same. He told my teacher Eduardo "people with fast arpeggios have fast picado."
