When I read it I thought,... its so usefull like bending a broom on a child so that it cleans the floor while robbing around..

But then I saw the video.. And its great. Very very nice music.

In the end a nice gimmick. I think the flamenco-guitar dont need this in general. But as he uses it, I like it very much.

There was a post about this YouTube video on the Foro a few months ago. People debated whether the additional strings added anything to the composition or performance.

It is interesting and the guy plays well.

This guy is good. At first, I had no interest in an 8 string flamenco guitar. Then I saw the video and now I REALLY want a portuguese guitar.

I loved the Tarantas.

I think my hands are too small to be able to play this guitar

Well. Here the same guy. He plays with dropped tuning and without 2 bonus strings. I like it more.
Why?
Well.. playing flamencoguitar also has something cool IMO. And 8 string guitars arent cool IMO. Thats like glasses with the clamps on the bottom part of the glasses. Or its like winning a beardcompetition. Or its like the strange guitar which Serranito played... Cool is just a flamenco-guitar without any compromises. So... I would say dunlop capos are good. Old capos with carving...is more in the direction of the beard-avard-winner IMO..

Hey, Arash. That's Anders Miolin's 13 string! Check him out here:

http://www.miolin.com/download.html

I really like his "La Puerto del Vino", on alto guitar.

No worries! Claude Debussy is not my heart's favourite either. I just posted it for anyone who was curious to hear another of these strange guitars. Back to flamenco...
