our facebook group and the israeli d...

So why is the foro's facebook group affiliating itself with and therefore promoting the Israeli Defence Force? I doubt the foro's official line is that those who want to join the group in its name on facebook have to also affiliate themselves, however unwillingly, with the IDF. I certainly won't discuss the politics and conduct of the IDF here, but I'd hate to muddy the flamenco spirit with an affiliation to a military institution.

It's not affiliating itself with the IDF, the list on the side of this Facebook group (or, for that matter, any other Facebook group) is a list of related groups - i.e., groups that a lot of the group's members are in. Usually this means a group about, say, flamenco, will have 5 related flamenco groups, but when there are very few members, this is the kind of thing that happens.

what is a facebook? the adds by google? mmm I noticed indeed some add's for israeli military stuff....I would rather see something else indeed.

I had no idea the related groups list was self-generative. What a poorly programmed feature. In any event, there is an option to turn off the feature - see Edit Group tab.

JW: Facebook is an addictive social networking tool. Not as addictive as flamenco, but addictive nonetheless.
