Anyone know what the movements are?(rasgueado)

At the end of it there is the obligatory final, you can also hear palmas etc but there is noone clapping on stage!? I cant imagine that coming from the machine since the synchronization with the guitar is hard to do this way??

Yeah...you can do it on the heads of people sitting in front of you at the Cinema when they won't stop talking.

(ending with a loud capriote golpe.....'golpe de cabeza')

Ron, so right.

I think the cameraman of this nice video has to get a bunch of flowers as thank you present. One of the few people who film the guitarist and the hands. Most of the youtube uploads show face-closeups and the cajonplayer instead the place of the action.. I liked the camera-work a lot!

My brain is running riot over this....

A new crime thriller...

The streets of New York are once again under threat from a serial killer...

At least three people are found dead in various public locations throughout the City every morning.....no apparent motive...the victims completely random and without any external visible marks of trauma....

The killer strikes in the early hours of the morning between midnight and 2.

Police are baffled.....Pathologists can only determine that X-Rays of the skull show a strange injury to the brain, never before seen... in all cases....

A young Medical student on an experience course in Pathology and who just happens to be a Flamenco guitar student, suddenly starts to see a pattern in the Forensic evidence that no one else can ...

All the victims have been "Maroted" to death with somebody of extraordinary RH strength and power.

The injuries fit exactly to a computer aided analysis program he has written in his spare time.

Soon the hunt is on for a half crazed, unstable Flamenco guitarist....somewhere..

Jason McGuire and Ricardo have their doors kicked in at 4 in the morning and dragged out for questioning, but are found to be innocent and later offer their services to catch the killer...

Slow practice with many repetitions. Rehearse. (But not on the head of somebody...)

No it is not. 3-stroke rasguedo is never this fast. This is p-up m-down i-down p-down repeat.

Rasguedos is a very adaptable technique. A few base ways to do it and then you can improvise it up to the sky. For instance Paco Pena uses p-up r-down m-down p-down, a way to play rasguedos that was created by him.

If you want to be that fast you should practice doing it with the pinky, then when you get back to the normal technique you will be much faster and more accurate. Good luck :D

He definitely ends on a thumb upstroke to allow for the hand damping.

The thumb does not appear to go up at the beginning, but there appears to be a "run in" note at the start...

Ah..Da..Da..Da..Dat!

So the Ah could be index up.....followed by..

A down, M down, I down...

P up, (damp strings)

Could also be..one hit longer..

Index up..

A down, M down, I down, P down..

P up..(damp strings).


I don't think it's that important really..

Rasgueados are extremely flexible and you can get the same effect in lots of different ways in my experience anyway.

I just viewed it in super slow motion(should have thought of that sooner) and it is: a down, p down, p up and repeat.

3 stroke rasgueado CAN be that fast.
