Auu, cool! :-)

Erik payed a show here a few nights ago, but I didn't have the oppurtunity to see it.. It was together with Mårten Karlholm. I love Eriks stuff, you never know what he will come up with. He's been playing at a small theatre here in Stockholm. Great relaxed atmosphere and really good music.

Duende, have you been to any of his recent shows?
And who is Mårten Karlholm? I haven't heard about him earlier, which is odd, because the local scene isn't too big, and the guy has released two albums and played for 18 years or something the like.. what does he do? Looks as though he lives in Denmark.

Mårten has played on one of Eriks CD´s i think, maybe "cuatro vientos"
I havent seen Erik preform since the "Nordic Flamenco festival" when was that? 2005? that was with his "flamenco fusion" group. it was ok but the sound was a bit bad.
I prefer to hear him solo, he´s way better than his cds are.

About the Stockholm scene i wouldn´t complain, its about as big as it can get in sweden. check out this page http://go.to/sacai

all the cool stuff is happening in stockholm, Gotenburg witch is the closest to me is very small, and theres not halv as much dance classes going on.

My Malmö is more like stockholm since its so close to Copenhagen.

PS Jag fick just ett mail från Erik, han är redan nervis men vem fan skulle inte vara det.

Henrik

Ah, Sacai. I was at their christmas party, dancers of various level performing and also a bit of cante in the memory of Rogelio.. only one guitarist present though, a somewhat nervous guy from finland who played a bit of tangos. There was also this person who improvised a.. strange dance solo to the music of Camaron... a must see!

I've been at quite a few things they've arranged, the nyflamenco festival was really good. I keep forgetting that it would be a good idea to become a member and give some support..

Flamenco seems to be on the uprise.. there are even dance classes in the suburb I live in. I hope it won't blow over before I've learned enough to accompany some beginner classes.

Btw, are you coming to see Son de la Frontera on Thursday?
