Madrid atrocity

As I'm checking the posts on the forum, it just came on the news about a terrorist tradgedy unfolding in Madrid, very shocking.

I'm watching the news right now. It appears a bomb has exploded in Madrid's train station. without doubt it will be ETA as Spain is in the middle of elections. Its disgusting that some people have such little regard for human life. Many people are dead and many injured.

Awful news. BBC website is reporting 170 people killed in a series of bombings.

Terrorists are the lowest of the low. On equal footing are those who support them.

Hi Dave,

I have no idea. I can ask Andrés about Mario Maya school when I see him. Though they may be closed over Easter. I suggest when you get here to go to Carmen a las Cuevas and ask there. I'll also ask my friend Maica for you who has a dance school also in the Albaicin.

Semana Santa is a great time to visit. Make sure you go on the Gitanos procession up the Sacromonte, it finishes at 7 am so you have to stay up all night but its worth it.

Hasta la vista
Kate

LOL!
Actually I must confess, my Grandfather comes from St. Helens.
You've put me in mind of this one...

These two old Lancashire sisters share a house.
When one of them passes away the other arranges the funeral.
She visits the stonemason for a memorial stone.
After looking around she say's "My sister would have just wanted something very simple like 'She Was Thine', nothing fancy."
"No problem", says the stonemason, "I'll get in done and put in position by tomorrow".
A couple of days later, the old lady goes to the cemetry and is furious when she looks at the stone which reads "She Was Thin".
She goes back home and calls the stonemason on the phone.
"You stupid bugger, go and look at that stone, you've left the 'E' out."
"I don't know how that could have happened", says the stonemason, "but I'll get somebody to sort it out straight away. Meanwhile please accept our sincerest apologies".
The next day the old lady goes to the cemetry and looks at the stone, which now reads
"E She Was Thin".

Hi Dave

Carmen Las Cuevas is a flamenco school. Check out their website www.carmencuevas.com/

I just got back from Malaga airport and it is about an hour and a half's drive. Its easy by bus, you come out of airport and to your right is a bus stop where a regular takes you straight to the bus station. You need to find Alsina Graells ( not sure about speklling) window to buy a ticket to Granada bus station. Its quite well organised and should be easy to find, and they are used to foreigners with little Spanish so dont worry.

And I think you can now bring your whippet on the plane, you need a pet passport or something like that. I'd buy your woodbines here though, much cheaper, if you can find them amongst the ducados.

Thanks Kate, I'll print that out and take it with me. Those Ducados, no wonder flamenco singers have that gravely voice smoking those, and Ron, that Joke reminds me of "The Working Class Playwrite" sketch by Python "Tungsten carbide drills! What the bloody hell's tungsten carbide drills?" http://arago4.tn.utwente.nl/stonedead/crosslinks/tv-series/sketches/fc-02/working-class-playwright.html
Cheers

Just awful, Spain came out in its millions to protest. The bar next to the theatre in Jerez closed early as they lost a good friend in the attack, the day after the festival finished.

Simon-

Can you put up a black ribbon on the main page to show our support for the Madrideños? (I have a pic if you want me to send it).
