Back from the summer recess..

Hola guys, haven't been round for a few months due to it being my annual 'insanely busy period' for gigs plus I've been busy promoting my new CD. This Forum is too damned addictive and I have to take time out to stop getting pulled off track.

However I am now entering my annual 'no gigs skint period' so I'll have more time to post and more time to play flamenco (hooray!)

So whats been happening? Haven't lost anyone have we?

BTW, I just can't stop watching this, which is PDL's amazing bulerias from a 70's TV show if you haven't seen it:

Apart from Cepa Andalusa and Almoraima, can anyone point me to the other Bulerias that he takes material from?

howdy! Any updates on the CD, and how has it been selling and what steps have you taken to promote it? I just dropped off the master and artwork and deposit for my CD and it should be ready by around Oct 20.

Sales are going well and the whole promotional thing has been as much of a learning curve as the production side!

The other bulerias is Pinonate from solo Quiero Caminar. Maybe a bit from Tumbona as well, I can't remember. Everyone try to pull those vids you like if you can because I noticed one guy, Elduendecillo, got all his great bootlegs pulled. Too bad because most of that stuff is not going to be made for sale to the Public, anytime soon.

Just this week read an article ( 16 september ) that american record companies are trying to sew youtube and asking for millions of dollars for using copyright material.

Sorry to break silence but just got Jon’s CD. It is scrummy. Ordered it from fivetrees at 12:58 yesterday and it arrived this morning before 9. Hasn’t stopped turning since.
