pinky golpe question.

On a Dutch guitarforum someone stated that golpe should be done with the pinky.
I never saw any flamenco do that. Nor is it prescribed in any Book I read.

My question: Is there some (old) school that uses pinky golpe ?

Thanks

Not sure. I noticed that all my fingers come down on the board when doing golpe sometimes. I cut my pinky nail real short once and my golpes were not the same brightness to my surprise. I never practiced it consciously, by I am certainly using my pinky for golpes. Pinky, ring, middle mainly.

i think this is some classical thing. i have only seen classical guitarists do it.
they don´t use the pinky for anything so somebody may have made it the classical golpe finger

I use A and M mostly. Both or seperate

He stated that it was taught by his teacher who claims to be a pura player.
I listened to his post once more and now I hear that he's also is using pami tremolo instead of piami.
So yeah, it must be the classical thing

Thanks guys

Standard CG does not teach use of the pinky, it is not necessary, and golpe is not considered part of CG technique either.

That is the reason why we do not have a agreed name for it to go along with PIMA

Which is the pinky? For downstrokes I change between i and a. I do normal golpes allways with m.

I do mine with A and pinky simultaneously like manuel granados, altough he uses his pinky a lot...for ras and even for triplets.
