The truth is that I was astounded by the lack of interest in the loss of one of the great cantaores. This is not a foro flamenco but a foro of guitar players and builders.

I remember having seen him in Almeria with Aurora Vargas and Nino de Pura back in 2003. El loco...tenia sello proprio.

Sad to hear about the passing of another grande figura in flamenco. RIP.

Yes it is sad to lose another great cantaor. The great cante as it was, is slowing disappearing. This is a loss.

It's well established that this is mainly a guitar foro more than a flamenco foro. But it still has great value as a place to learn about and discuss flamenco. There are a few members such as yourself, who are very valuable for the aficion and knowledge of flamenco that you bring.

Last year:

DEP Pansequito.

Anything I was going to say, orsonw has managed to say it better. So ditto.

It is truly sad...he was one of the earliest concerts I saw and I have several of his recordings. One of the greats and another one of those underrated cantaores in my opinion. That said, not everyone deals with loss in the same way. I saw the news thanks to you but I chose to break out my Suenan las Campanas with Tomatito instead of posting.

I remember having seen him in Almeria with Aurora Vargas and Nino de Pura back in 2003.

I remember this concert in San Fernando, with Bobote y El Electrico. The surprise was Daniel who played festero when Aurora was singing and dancing, then muy flamenco for Panseco. The compás was astounding because both Aurora and Panseco play palmas fuera de serio..

I had the good fortune to be presented to them in a bar in Cádiz: Aurora es una delicia

Not to hurt any feelings, but Camaron copied Pansequito a lot.

Lol...and Juan Cantero, and Chaqueta, and el Chino. Each innovators in their own way.
