Flamencos in New York, 2016 (web art...

Hello, here's the translation of my article 'Flamencos in New York, 2016', in case you are in NY and want to enjoy a good flamenco show.

The original article can be found here: http://eltablaoflamenco.com/blog/2016/03/02/flamencos-nueva-york/

Flamencos in New York, 2016

Today starts the 13th edition of the New York Flamenco Festival . The city dresses in full regalia and host the artists in its best theaters like the New York City Center, the Carnegie Hall, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Town Hall or Jazz and the Lincoln Center. The festival will run from March the 2nd to March the 20th and will include a complete circuit of courses, conferences and other educational activities.

Dancing will have a very prominent place, with Farruquito presenting his show "Improvisao" Manuel Liñan Company offering "Wanderer", The Rocío Molina Society representing "Danzaora & Vinática", the Ballet Flamenco of Andalucía presenting its show "Images: 20 years ", and Israel Galván and Akram Khan with their famous" Torobaka ".

The 'toque' is brought by the master Vicente Amigo, who will offer a show based on his latest album "Tierra", wich is inspired by flamenco and celtic music.
In 'cante', the New Yorke citizens can listen to "La Tremendita" singing his show "Qasida" with Mohammad Motamedi and as cherry on top, a gathering of musics titled "Song and son" starring Jackson Browne and Raul Rodriguez.

In addition, this year we'll have the re-launch of the "Flamenco Beyond" program in the live music clubs Joe's Pub, Roulette and Le Possison Rouge. The purpose of this program is to bring flamenco to new audiences. Within this program we can find performances by Esperanza Fernández with the piano of Gonzalo Rubalcaba, the Orchestra of St. Luke's with guest voice of Marina Heredia, Rocío Márquez, music guitarist Daniel Casares and bassist Adam Ben Ezra with their show "Crazy strings", the dancing of Nelida Tirado, the Morisca Band with their flamenco-Andalusian roots, the Bojaira Band of the pianist Jesus Hernandez, the dancing of 'Niño de los Reyes' and the violin of Ara Malikian.
