on Chuscales

I thought I would post a tidbit on Chuscales, who seems to be the guitarist of choice among Americans (of those guitarists who work in America). I was chatting today with Miguel Angel Cortes, one of my teachers, who is from Granada as well as Chuscales, and he mentioned him... He agreed that Chuscales played well. Without going overboard and saying he was excellent or awesome or anything like that. Man, it´s such a different world over here. Almost every professional guitarist here is awesome. They have a very high level of technical accomplishment. Virtuosity, or something near to it, is the norm! On another note, since one of the guys who plays for the dance class, Yoshiki, got to have a flamenco name (maireno!), I asked Eduardo for one, and he agreed to think of one. He decided to call one of the other people in my class, Jesse, who always eats sandwiches (or bocadillas) El Nino del Bocadillo!
