Tomas Lazaro TL20?

found one at a local guitar shop that i go to a fair amount, when i asked if he had any flamenco guitars sitting around. He dug this up from the back, and i gave it a thump. He said he had it about 3 years, doesnt know what his investment in it is, so hes not sure how to price it.

I did some searching/researching and found some posts on this foro and others..seems like they ran about 400 new back in the day, so im figuring about 250 to 300 used?

its in good shape, except for some fret sprout. Action seems high for a flamenco and theres not much room to lower it, but some. However, it felt good in the hands, surprisingly light for what i assume is laminate sides and back, and a had a decent tone even with 3 year old dead strings. nice crisp rasgueados and good percussive snap, good trebles, nice barky mids. Low end is a little lacking but fresh strings may improve that.

i have no illusions, based on research, that this is anything other than a student entry level piece... but this particular unit at least was much much better overall than some of the GKs I've played, and better than a couple of used yamaha 171s/172s I've played as well. If Im right on price point, could be a good piece to get into for my needs right now.

anyone else messed with these since the last foro thread on them?
