Eclipse 

Is everyone .. in north Europe .. ready for a almost total eclipse of the sun tomorrow morning ..??
cameras ready ...

my location will give me a 93% eclipse at about 09:24..
starts at 8:30 and lasts about 2 hours.....

we could have some reports from European members here ....

Anyways, they say it's better seen in the north and Azores. I remember something similar about 15 years ago and we had special filters to look at it in the street.

yes i thought you might have some filters .. its on for 2 hours though ,, your bound to get a break ... strange light and maybe shadows .. interesting for anyone into photography

A aula é sempre fixe, é a única que tenho e estou a gostar da matéria.

Acordar verdadeiramente é que só acontece depois do almoço, portanto não estarei com as minhas capacidades em pleno para andar por aí de olhos abertos, muito menos para os espetar no sol.

Amanhã devíamos era montar uma banquinha de rua e vender Voltaren para as dores de pescoço.

In July, 1991 there was a near total eclipse in Honolulu. I was in a hotel, on my way to Kwajalein--ill prepared, no filters.

So I pulled the cardboard out of a laundered shirt, made a pinhole with one of the pins in the shirt, and projected the image onto a piece of hotel white stationery. Worked pretty well.

Do they still fold shirts onto cardboard at the laundry? Do they still put stationery in hotel rooms? Do people still write on paper?

It was rubbish on the East Coast, were I was working. Thick cloud.

yes actually a bit of a dissapointment .. it did get dark ok but was misty .. although i did see the very last bit as it was clearing ....

however the best image I got of it was what my kid drew for me ....

who needs expensive cameras .....
