Advice on 1966 Conde

Hey everyone I;m wanting some advice regarding a guitar I recently had gifted to me- actually two. A 1966 Ramirez blanca peg head like new unused cond and a 1966 Conde Braz rosewood/ spruce also like new. The Ramirez I really like and will probably keep but the Conde I'm not sure about and am wanting to ask of it's value and the interst level here. As I said the Conde is like new- frets untouched for example, but it has a couple of issues that I am aware are common with this age gat.1. The bridge, I am sure is not placed perfectly 2. action is just under 4mm and can't be lowered at saddle. It is not a student model- green label atocha- I think known as a ''second class"
Basically wondering if it is worth selling as is or keep (it has a great sound) or have work done and sel.l but can't afford outlay atm

What general area do you live in? It's probably a very desirable guitar, but you almost always do better if you oversee having it repaired than selling as is.

If the action is high and can't be lowered at the saddle take it to a good repairer for an in person evaluation of the problem. Then contact a few of the known dealers, I can recommend a few in private, for an estimate of a potential starting sales price. Make your calculations of whether it worth fixing based on more than one opinion.

The two main things: Vintage guitar that needs work will always get knocked by buyers. The market cycles up and down, but certain guitars hold more value over time.

In the flamenco market any 1960's Conde' is going to attract attention and especially a Rio Rosewood guitar. If the guitar can be authenticated to really be Brazilian rosewood, then be caution about selling it on open auction forums if you live in the US. It might be better to shop it privately because Brazilian has become a sensitive issue and you never know if anyone is tracking auctions and will bust you. If the guitar is old and you have the paper work, an original sales tag you should keep it and make color photo copies of it.

I would check with dealers about how they handle Brazilian guitars today, some may favor being more discreet in how it is advertized. Probably being over cautious here, but check it out first.

Hey Stephen, I was hoping to get a reply from you- thanks. Im in Wellington NZ. This Conde was actually chosen by Sainz de la Maza (sp) in Madrid as an instrument for the person who gifted it to me. I haven't got details here but the Ramirez was also chosen by a well known flamenco dancer- also in 1966.
I do know the particular chocolatey smell of braz, so would would that be a way of authenticating b and sides?
I think a bridge relocation and poss a thicker finger board would be needed.
The neck is an unusual color (pale) that has an orangey stain- would love to know what it is. any ideas?
I haven't really thought about problem of a braz guitar being sold- thanks- it may have to be sold in NZ but obviously the market is minescule

How on earth did you get those guitars gifted? Flamenco scene is pretty small around here of course so you did very well.
