Welcome to the foro.

Have you been playing guitar for very long? Are you new to flamenco?

RE: Hello everyone (in reply to machopicasso

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I have "played" guitar on and off for close to 5 years. Unfortunately "playing" never got me past playing bits and pieces of some 90's rock and metal songs. About 6 months ago I started seriously working on learning guitar. Flamenco is still pretty new to me but I really enjoy the sound of flamenco and spanish guitar. My goal is to put in 10,000 hours of solid work/practice on the guitar mainly focusing on the flamenco style. I have heard several people say that 10,000 hours is a general number for mastery in a field or subject. At the end of this month I will have a solid 6 months of focused practice and close to 200 hrs in. Sorry for the long reply but I hope putting my goals out there will help motivate me to reach my goal and maybe one day inspire others.
