Trans Pacific Book Swap

I have five books I'd like to swap with someone or a few people in the U.S. or Aus. ( I say that because I can afford to ship them there. )

The list is this:

Balthus bio by Nicholas Fox -Weber

Joseph Cornell bio- by not sure

Tuna - by Richard Ellis

The novel A Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet. by David Mitchell

The novella Miss Gone Overseas ( I have two copies and want to share this splendid book) by Mitchell Hagerstrom. ( she's my step mom)

The Balthus bio is full of interesting twentieth century art gossip. The most interesting stuff however is how the author traces Balthus' studies of Italian masters and how this manifests in his later work. The text is full of actual conversations with the reclusive painter himself giving his views on his own work.

Tuna is a history of modern commercial tuna fishing that draws back to the writings of Zane Grey fishing tuna off the shores of Catalina Island in CA to a modern breakdown of Tsukiji fish market and tuna ranching in Australia.

The Thousand days novel.....well it's a damn good read. Look it up on amazon.

Cornell is about the timid shy artist Joseph Cornell and his poetic box constructions.

Miss Gone Overseas is a novella written in beautiful prose which give vivid snapshots into the world of a young Japanese woman who lives in Micronesia during WWII. Also a damned good read. ( I have more than one copy so I'm sharing. ) Did I mention MGO is getting rave reviews?

What I want in return is five books of equal stature about classical music and Japanese history, but I'll take anything you think I might like and that would be tradeable after I read them.

I don't mind sending a few books to more than one person, but I'd like to avoid send all five separate. Of you want the set ok, if not try to pick at least two.

I live in a place where I can't get books in English unless I order them online from the US or Aus. and I don't l have extra money for books right now. I hope this works!
