Cordoba F7 Fret buzzing 
Hello guys,

Years ago in this forum, I talked about me building guitars ect,,,

bought lots of wood working hand tools and equipment, build my first cajon and worked on some yamahas neck thicknessing, etc... so i am doing some guitars modification and repair,,, right now

any way....

a freind of mine bought a Cordoba F7, nice guitar , but...

the g and b string are buzzing, espically the b string,

sound like SITAR exactly,

as you all now the Cordoba guitars ad an Allen Key in the neck, and adjustable truss rod,

i know that is the style used on the accoustic and electric guitars to adjust the neck,

I tried to play with it and I know find that the strings are getting harder or softer!!


I checked the neck , and it looks there is a bow , agap of 0.5 mm on the 6th fret,

some fret also need to be sanded and polished and ohters needed to be hammerd again , I aounf its now correctly hammerd enough couse there is a gap uned neeth the fret wire.

so , guys, any advice on how to adjust the truss rod!! and why only the B string is buzzing right now!!

Before you do anything, make sure it's not the strings. Seriously, put on some fresh D'Addarios and don't do anything unless it still buzzes.

pretty sure it is not the strings,

the guitar owner admit that he played with the truss rod,

If you say so, then the first thing to do would be getting the neck near flat with the appropriate relief.

If you do anything to the frets before getting the neck right, you might be in for more work than needed.

ya, need an instruction for that, if have an experience with truss rod plz

Tighten to the right, loosen to the left.

Right - less bow, left - more bow

Don't turn more than 1/4. Wait a few hours and see if it was enough.



There's a chance that the truss rod is already broken or stuck so beware.

This is one of the things which is vital to understand for setup
DO NOT Use the truss rod for anything other than setting the relief.
Measure the relief as follows under full string tension
- gently hold a string to the 1st and 12th frets
- midway between look at the clearance between the string and the fret

For nylon strings I want to see 0.25mm (about the thickness of a business card)
For steel strings about half this

Adjust till you get this then leave it

Doing this may make the problem appear worse, but that just means the problem is elsewhere (nut, saddle, frets etc)
