I had a 1987 Ramirez (now own a 1989 Manuel Carceres) the Ramirez had tried many strings The soundboard has been stretched by some It seems to like La bella 820b's Luthier 20's or 30' In the past and would use these strings again I currently have about 20 sets of D Mari 300 strings I like the sound and feel of these for this guitar tension seems right....also sound great on my Caceres Ron fernandez has spent many years of his life with Ramirez guitars He can give you advice regarding strings and soundboard flexing Enjoy those string threads http://www.fernandezmusic.com/
