Hello from Brazil

Hello all, I'm Pedro Castro from Brazil.

I found this forum when searching for flamenco material, tips, etc. and I was amazed by this great community and the amount of stuff you can learn in here. I've been stalking the boards for a few months but I only decided to introduce myself today =) (guess I'm a little shy).

As for myself, I'm 25 years old and Ive been playing the guitar for about 10 years or so. I wasn't serious about it, though, until I started getting into flamenco, about a year ago. (by serious I mean practicing a lot, its not like i'm a pro or anything like that).

A few months past I finally got myself a teacher (it was so very hard to find one because flamenco is very unpopular in Brazil) and I'm getting more and more into flamenco.

Although I've been playing (flamenco) for only a year, I practice a lot, so I consider myself to be closer to an intermediate player than to a beginner.

Anyway, I'll try to record something for the buleria winter challenge (although my recording gear really sucks) so you can see some of my playing. Of course I'm going to get owned because you guys are awesome players, but it will be nice to get some feedback on my playing.

Olá Pedro! Ainda não tinha visto aqui ninguém do Brazil.

Fazes bem em participar no desafio das bulerías. Eu já gravei as minhas.

Oi Pedro! Bem vindo ao Foro Flamenco. Prazer.

Se vc mora perto do SP, puder estudar com Alessando Penezzi. Ele sabe muito toque flamenco, e muito em geral (música erudita, choro, samba, etc). Sabe ele? já vi os videos dele no YouTube?
Se quiser, posso fazer contato. Ele é um amigo de mim.

Onde vc mora? Estou com curiosidade.
