Mario Escudero's son

When I was studying with Mario Escudero his son Manuel occasionally sat in on the lesson. At the time Manuel was about eleven or twelve and was already an accomplished guitarist. He played along with Mario on at least one album that I have.

Over the many years I have occasionally wondered whatever became of Manuel, but I have never heard one word about him. I just stumbled onto a YouTube video under “Mario Escudero,” and there is Manuel, looking a bit younger than I estimate his age to be, and bearing a strong resemblance to Mario, playing one of Mario’s versions of Granadinas.

Does anyone know anything about Manuel? What has he been doing all these years, does he perform professionally, etc. The video says “Madrid.”

I have a double album where he plays, I think, a sevillanas with Mario. He was just a kid.

Right - that's the album I referred to, a double album with white cover. Mario gave me that album for my birthday and inscribed good wishes and signed it.

Manuel was about eleven I think.
