2 short Flamenco-TV-Videos from my c...

Here a player who is spanish but lives in germany. He shows some traditional falsetas for the germans who usually think that Santana and Shakira are Flamenco.hehe. He plays brilliant! Im a big fan.

Wow! That kind of muscular playing really blows me away...
Sharp and clear as a bell with "explosive" rasgueados.
Those kind of players always intimidate me as I fumble around with a few muffled falsetas LOL!
John Fillmore also plays like that ...he said it comes from years and years of playing for dancers and having no amplification.
That kinda stuff makes me totally ashamed of my own playing...

Das good ya?

I have met lots of Germans who play very well too. Of course this guy is Spanish, but I have a friend Miguel Iven (Munchen?) who plays really good. You know of him?

Oh, Ive heard his name in past I think. I will ask my friends for him. I Muenchen is far away from me. I know many. I think he dont come often to shows or festivals in my range... The guitarrists here are usually like a family. We all know each other and push us in a good way. I hope to meet him in future.

It interested me that the dancer received spontaneous applause and the guitar playing a sort of look of bewilderment. Think I'll sell my guitar and by a dress. I might be better appreciated

Yup that picado was where I'm going. See ya in twenty years

Ha! You'd better buy that dress if you want to be noticed. Guitar takes a back seat-way in the back, compared to dance among everyone except other guitarists. And hard core aficianados are usually into the singing way more than the guitar or the dance. I was hired to do a gig once-play solo for 30 minutes then bring out a singer and dancer for 15 miniutes. for the whole thirty minutes people talked over my playing-basically didn't listen to a note. Then they came out , and silence. As I played the intro, it was like I was in a different room with a different audience. Funny what a couple of good looking girls will do........
