Saw PDL last night

Met up with Fergus and went to Roquetas de Mar to catch his first gig of his tour. Joined up with some other friends and had a very interesting evening. Never seen him before and found it all quite intense, not the kind of flamenco gig I am used to; "muy concierto"

He is on another level, even Tomatito was in the audience as Roquetas is his home town.

Quite an amazing guitarist but the second part of the performance was better, more in the groove. Wish he hadn't done Entra Dos Aguas for the encore though.

Ah, a PDL gig in a Spanish bullring, doesn't get much better than that.

BTW - even PDL makes mistakes but his recoveries are astonishing.

I think that's what makes the difference between a good and not so good musician. This, and not showing your mistakes in your attitude.

Sounds like a nice evening.
