Nino Ricardo CD

Just picked up a CD featuring only Nino Ricardo. I had only heard Nino Ricardo on CDs that featured other flamencos as well. I have one entitled "Masters of the Flamenco Guitar," featuring Nino Ricardo, Sabicas, Manolo de Huelva, and Marchena de Melchor. Nevertheless, I want to thank Estevan for steering me to the French-produced CD of Nino Ricardo playing alone. He also has one number on the CD, a Fandango entitled "Igual que la Dolorosa," in which he accompanies La Nina de los Peines. The CD is produced by Le Chant du Monde, and is one of a series entitled, "Grandes Figures du Flamenco." Great compilation of Nino playing marvelous pieces. One of the giants of flamenco.

Cheers,

Bill

Alain fauchers official transcription book comes with a cd of each
piece written out... Short and bad fidelity but a nice compliment to the score.
I much prefer the tracks from the compilation you mention because of the superior
Audio
