Beginners tremelo

Tremelo - Early days but any help on the following points greatly received:

I’m having trouble getting the bass notes bold enough in comparison with the trebles. If I use a normal wrist action I find the trebles get inconsistent. Is it OK to limit wrist movement or would this be bad habit forming? Is it OK to move the thumb forward leaving the fingers near the bridge (sort of long hand - seems to have some effect) or is it the old "two things at once" being difficult and just persevere?
I assume the fingers should be very relaxed. Is the contact more finger or are the nails dominant to get the right effect? [OK depends what sound you want but to start with what might be easiest as a thought process] Is it OK if the trebles are attack from below?

I’ve tried studying the videos but it is difficult to see clearly what is happening .

No need to move the wrist. Only the fingers should be moving. Try playing always rest strokes with the thumb, and leaving it anchored on the string after playing (whenever possible). It is OK if the thumb is closer to the soundhole. Get Rito y Geografia and watch all the different tremolo techniques.

Nigel;

Go to my web site at:

http://home.comcast.net/~flamencoguitar/flamenco.html

Click on Technique and look for Tremolo. There is an exercise that I recommend for new students to obtain the right hand coordination necessary for tremolo. It is the example that uses the fingers on one string.

The point of the exercise is to gain strength and coordination. There are many tremolo techniques to help you play better.
