PARRILLA de Jerez-MAMMOTH EVENT
Last November I reported on Parrilla's debilitating stroke. Although he's now out of the hospital, he's no longer able to play guitar, and the authorities in Jerez have organized a huge fund-raiser to be held in the Jerez bullring on June 11th. The collection of artists, *all of them confirmed*, is unprecedented in the history of flamenco (see list below!). The organizers have set up a "fila cero" which is an imaginary "row zero" for people who would like to show their support with a contribution even though they are unable to attend. Tickets are 10 euros, but any amount can be deposited in the "fila cero" account. I haven't got the account number yet, but will post it as soon as they send it to me. "Homenaje a Parrilla de Jerez". Saturday, June 11, 2005. Jerez bullring.
