Flamenco Venues in Sydney, Australia

I have spent the past three months on a consulting assignment in Samoa, in the South Pacific. I will depart Samoa in a couple of weeks to return to Washington, DC, by way of an overnight stay in Sydney, Australia the night of Friday, 30 September. I have a dinner that evening, but if time permits, I would like to go to a club or venue that might have a flamenco performance.

May I prevail upon any Foro members who live in Sydney to suggest a venue that would likely have a flamenco performance the night of Friday, 30 September? Your consideration would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Bill

I'm from Sydney, but not sure if there's much flamenco going on.
I read that at King's Cross, there's a restaurant with flamenco either on fri or sat.
In liverpool st, city, the spanish club advertise that they have flamenco, not sure if it's real flamenco or more rumba stuff.

Bandaluzzia is the group that Damian Wright plays in.
check out the gig guide that Al sent you. If i'm not working, we can head out for a drink and hunt for a flamenco show! =)

cheers

I saw Damian playing for the first time recently, up in a tiny little venue in Brisbane. I saw a bit underimpressed actually, it didn't feel like he could get a very clear strong sound and everything just sounded a little muffled. Mabey just the setup but I was much more impressed by the baile, and of course Shenzo Gregory (violin).
