Challenge Rincones de loles

Hey guys! This is going to be the advanced challenge Rincones de loles. I think if some people like challenges more with official judging and prices, than we should start an additional advanced challenge beside of this one here. This one here is like the quick challenges but only ...long. ;.) Keep an eye on this post here for possible updates. No matter what could be decided below, it has to written down in this post here to become valid. Basic idea of this challenge: 1. It helps you to become better no matter if you will be able to play that in the end or not. The challenge gives you a target that you can fight for. The journey is the reward. There will be no judging. You judge your own playing. Just dont cheat yourself and you can celebrate your improvement afterwards. Don´t be scared, its always good to practice faletas which are above your level. Just practice slow and seriously. In future when you got better you pack out the things you learned which were to hard for you in past and you can do it. A simple principle as in sports, break your barriers. Learn together fight together and lets celebrate the outcome together. Your playing wont be judged officially. There will be no rating of each player. Your personal improvement and performance in public is the benefit. Challenge composition:Rincones de Lolés of Tomatito. Album Guitarra gitana. TAB:rincones de loles tab (Thank you Jimi!) MP3: Rincones de Loles mp3 Comment to the composition: This composition should enhance your skills in getting variation in your compas strumming, you will learn to deal with rhythmically difficult falsetas, you will develop your thumb technique and several useful ways of playing rasguados. The good thing about this bulerias is that its technically not too difficult. Main Rules: See the rules as chance to improve and try to obey them. (Otherwise..you wont get the best results you could) 1. Only me gets disqualifyed if breaking one of the rules. No one else. The rest has to obey just No2,6 and 9 2. Get your best attempt entry in ON TIME: may1st 2011 3. All falsetas have to be played in the order of the record. 4. minor changes in the falsetas are allowed to make the development of personal playing character possible 5. play that at original speed of the CD record. 6. No "cheating" (editing, punching-in, cut and paste, electronic speeding up..etc) 7. No orchestration allowed 8. Your guitar is the only one that can be heard. Palmas, metronome, own beats or compas loops are fine. 9. share your result with us, recorded on video, post it on youtube with a link to this tread here. 10. If you are done before deadline you are welcome to post earlier. 11. If you are stuck, you are allowed to share and discuss occurring problems. Also with video. Don´t cheat yourself, be serious. Start date: now! End date: May 1st 2011 EDIT: New deadline is whenever you like. I just got bursitis in my right elbow and have to stop playing for a while.Sorry but healing is more important than the challenge. Keep in mind. Fair play. Lets become better together. Guitar players who take the challenge: Doitsujin Arash Florian tilsitter Deniz Deteresa1 xirdneH_imiJ Pimientito El gemelo Aloysius luke.park

i would recommend if i may, that we have both advanced challenges - the one we originally planned upon, with a shorter deadline, say december, one that leaves room for interpretation and is not all about technique - that's why i suggested rondena, but it could be another palo; AND have Rincónes de Lolés with a may deadline...i think it's very much doable... if you guys agree we should then find something to learn - and since Todd, the previous winner said he wouldn't participate in this one, it may not be a bad idea to ask him to decide it for us (taking into account our opinions) because he knows what's required of each piece... i can safely say i could play this bulería at a slower speed, but if i can get it up to Tomatito's, is a big question...but i want to!
