GERARDO NUNEZ & CARMEN CORTES LIVE I...

Was it just me or did anyone else catch the Nunez concert in London today (30th April)? It was great! Nunez played a couple of his more jazzy songs, then did some more traditional stuff with Carmen dancing. There was a cool bit where the percussion player was tapping away on the side of the double bass!
I'm gonna try and go to Nunez' master class tomorrow. I don't think there'll be any tickets left, but even if I can just get a spectators seat, it might be interesting.

I made it to the Nunez workshop! It was the beginners class, but I'd say that most of the people there were quite competent. As Nunez doesn't speak much English, it was a "watch me and copy" type lesson. he went through some rasgueado techniques, picado, arpeggios and little bit of Compas.
I have to admit, i was struggling a bit, so it would have been nice to have the tab for each exercise. But it was a good experience, and all of the exercises Nunez played sounded beautiful. He also did a bit of showing off with fast stuff and played a couple of demonstration songs.
If I could have afforded it, I would have loved to stay on and watch the intermediate and advanced lessons... there would probably have been some great playing going on.
