Dundee Guitar Festival

Apart from Nunez giving a concert, there will be five days of teaching by John Filmore. I think John studied in The Netherlands under Paco Pena...He is a really good player and I imagine he will be an excellent teacher.

I can only manage to visit on the Saturday and Sunday. I will bring my oud to the flamenco guitar class, and sit at the back making slidey, out-of-tune wails...I might play the oud as well

Anyone else going? Apparently six flamenco guitarists have booked already.

Hello,

I have recently had a lesson with John, and I thought he was a very good teacher, it was good fun, and he's a nice bloke. I also heard/saw him accompanying a singer, again very good. I thought he was a very powerful player with strong compas. Just my 2 cents worth.

Andy.
