buzz search,,,,,,,

Hola Amigo's Last friday, I had with two of my frends our usual guitarpartyday. One of them have a nice Conde, and it was buzzing a lot. Too lot. It did not buzz before ever, so I searched the whole guitar, got the bone out everything. The buzzing staid. It was very cold here the past few days, so perhaps it was getting to dry and was bend a little, we wached and wached, but it looks straight. Than I decided to put the bridge higher and tried it.....still the same.... My frend was looking more and more terrified, and the other whan was sitting quietly in the corner, no flamenco fiesta what so ever. Than I asked my frend when he put other strings on the guitar, but he could not remember, so we put other strings on it, and, guess what, it dissapeared! So, if you ever have a strange buzzing, before set the guitar on fire, or smash it to the wall from desperately searching, first try to put a new set of strings on it! Btw. After that we played till the sunset....... Peter

Hi Antonio. There is a good possibility that the problem is solved with hard tension strings. If that will not solve the problem, the next thing to do is to put a piece of nylon string under the bridge bone and try again. If that solve the problem, you must get a higher bone. That are the things you can do yourself. If that not solve the problem, bring it to a guitarbuilder, he can see what is the problem, maybe shave some frets down ( do not do that yourself). all the best, Peter

Hi Antonio! I ment it only to try if this would solve the problem. The best thing to do, if the buzzes goes away with the piece of string is buying a new, higher bone. The second best, is a piece of laminated rosewood. I would use only a string to try, or perhaps on an old cheap guitar. But, it does not effect the sound. Peter.
