Conde & Castillo

just browsing thru some webpage and found this one:

link

this sounds like an exciting project, tough as far as I consider the sound of the guitar is mostly determined by it's top. I wonder how the sound compares before/after this surgery?!

I don't think that recordings could give back the true, authentic sound of a guitar, but the soundclip isn't bad either

Yep, You can have one below 3000, plus I already have mine, and wouldn't sell or trade it, nor even for a Conde...

Just wondered, that how does it compare to the original sound after the change of the top?!?
'cause comparing different guitars is hard, it depends on a lot of factor, but in this case it's the exact same guitar, just re-topped....
anyway...

I noticed it a while back and I agree, very interesting. Makes you wonder how it came to require a re-top and when the work was done as it pertains to Salvador's career. I haven't had the pleasure of playing one of his guitars, but the reviews (especially of the newest ones) seem very good.

A new Castillo for under $3k IS probably a better investment, especially if you were buying without playing first.

after hearing the recording I really don't think this is worth the investment.
There's such a dominance of the bass notes.
Maybo someone likes it but I'd rather go for a new castillo too.
