Madrid to Granada to Jerez

Hello everybody! Need your help on a trip plan. I plan on going to Madrid, Granada and Jerez. I have 5 days...How do I get to these cities cost effectively (inexpensive but decent lodging) and make the most out of it?

Any tips? Things to see? The only thing I plan to be in Jerez on March 11 to be in Jerez to catch a Lesson during the day and watch a show at night and see the alhambra in granada. Madrid is my point of entry so wonder where I should try to find a spot to stay in so I have easy access to train, food etc...

I am getting overwhelmed since I want to see soo much in just a few days.

That sounds pretty ambitious for just a 5 day trip. I'm sure it'll be a great time but, personally, I would focus on one (or at most two) locations when you've got so little time.

Yeah very ambitious I would say. But I do not get opportunites to go on vacation and its been 4 years since I took a vacation.

I would also like to be more ambitious if you guys can suggest a lesson in Madrid, in Jerez or Sevilla and Granada? And hotel suggestions? I really have no clue but I have 5 days and anything would be ok. Lets say I have time and not much money but I would like to push every cent and every minute :)

Okay so I am gonna take the plunge and do this. I have so far, 2 nights in Sevilla, Madrid and Granada. While in Sevilla I'll take the bus to Jerez and arranged a lesson with Carbonero and take my wife to the Royal Equestrian Academy and While in Madrid well just go sight seeing and see if we can squeeze in a lesson at Entri's. So far in Granada we only have the Alhambra planned, any flamenco we can squeeze in over there?

Check out my post Flamenco Viene del Sur and see if that coincides with your dates. Some good shows in Sevilla, Granada and Malaga.

In Granada I always recommend Rafa's place to stay at. have a look at the prices on his site.

Hi Alonte..

Definitely don't miss the Prado Art Gallery...
Stunning!...An experience of a lifetime!

The original works of the great Spanish Masters, all right in front of your eyes..

Goya, El Greco, Velazquez...

You'll have to put aside a complete afternoon though..so I don't know how that will fit in with your plans.

cheers,

Ron

suggest taking the train over the bus, sevilla-jerez. Cheap, frequent, relaxing, comfy.

Thanks Kate, Ron and Veet. Any recommendations for good tapas, churros and nibbles? I'll look into the trains to Jerez. I have spent most time reading on tripadvisor and most people recommend buses so ill look into it :)
