La Bella 900b trebles/ Augustine Blu...

Buy them. I bought a pack of La Bella 900b and Augustine Blue today, so I took the black trebles from the La Bella (Because the D string on any La Bella breaks within a week for me) and the bass strings of Augustine Blue.... AND OH MY GOD I LOVE IT! I will update as the strings get older. Currently I love it

The funny thing is way back in the 90th I used Augustine blue coz my teacher recommended these strings. I remember the treble stings often already broke when I attached them on the guitar... So,.. I wont recommend Augustine blue..

Even funnier is.... after many years of Augustine abstinence ... I now use Augustine gold. Oo ... They are brilliant!

i did put on some La Bella 820 flamenco basses on and the still sound quite fresh, im really amazed. i used to use augustine basses and they were dying quick, but they are also cheaper, in fact they are one of the cheapest strings.

i think im gonna switch to la bella basses coz the sound is also nice.

I have never used Augustine or La bella black trebles before so i am experimenting. The basses on Augustine are really loud which is good but they do sound a bit metallic (but thats because they are new). I tried La Bella bases before and the D string kept breaking, I might swap the bases out for the Le Bella gold plated in the 900b set I bought depending if the Augustine Blue end up sucking.

I am loving the black trebles from La Bella 900b so far xD

Hi,

Could it be that your guitar of that time to have had a sharp edge on its nut or bridge that made the strings break?
For in ~ 35 years I don´t recall a string of that brand to have broken. ( Other than the typical D string, when its windings start rippling off.)

I like the blue sets basses a lot. Crisp like no other that I tried.
But I havn´t been too attentive to the gold ones yet, which I shall in the future.
