i just had a breakthrough

im really excited

today i can get through a cante accompaniment lesson ive been working on for the first time. im still only doing it at the slow tempo, and its messy, but im really close to having it down

it feels like a big reward, even though im just playing along to a recorded voice, it feels like im jamming

ill work on it until i can do it well enough to make a video

its a guajiras from one of Jasons lessons

Congrats marduk...

I need to register on Jason's site so I can take some Baile lessons,
but cash is tight...

I just found a dance studio near my home and want to play for the dancers.

my advice would be to hang around the dance studio, make some friends there, and ask if you can sit in and watch/listen

i find i learn heaps that way

if you have some compas they might even let you help accompany. im not ready to do this yet, but ive sat down next to flo a few times and done simple palmas for the beginner dance students

i would try to recommend some free lessons online, but i dont know whats good and whats bad, im so new to flamenco. i hope you find ways to keep inspired, and keep learning for the time being

when you can afford it then you could sign up to a lesson site (or if your lucky find a private teacher)
