Juan Antonio Suárez “Cano” workshop

had a pretty good workshop with Juan Antonio Suárez “Cano” held in dublin yesterday. we covered some technique and a solea study in a 1hr workshop. it was a pretty good experience and nice to take a workshop with one of the more modern flamenco players. this would have been his second time back in ireland and hopefully he will be back again.

unfortunatley i couldnt go the show they held in dublin with concha jareno, seis cuerdas para dos taconeos. but hopefully there should be more events coming up in the new year.

Yes this guy plays nice things.

This year at a flamenco festival in my town, a friend of mine was practicing something at the backside of the backstage entrance.. There are dance-rooms.. so nothing special. In the middle of the show Cano came out and talked with him..tested his guitar..and said.. hey lend that to me for a minute.

He went on stage with the guitar of my friend and played an alegria.. This time I sat in the audience and wondered why he changed his guitar and why it looked like the one my friend owns.. After the show he told it...

Funny guy...
