book on Flamenco? 
I've really enjoyed the latest topic "Great Grand Daddy of Flamenco "

I wonder if anyone can recommend what to read to get a good background on the subject? In English if possible please. I've seen the book "Duende" - any good?

I recently took a book from the local library that gave a pretty good basic overall picture of Flamenco:

"Flamenco- all you every wantedf to know" by Emma Martinez, published by Mel Bay.

It's not as definitive and in-depth as the Pohren classic, but it does give a good coverage of the overall flamenco scene - traditional and contemporary.

Worth a read. Try your local library. . . Good luck.

For what it is worth, "The Art of Flamenco" is significantly less expensive from guitarsolo than amazon.
