Euro is free-falling. Where do I get...

Ok, so the Euro is going down. This may be the perfect opportunity for us outside Europe to order a flamenco guitar online for a good price.
Anyone knows a good online guitar shop that ships worldwide and changes in euros?
Thanks,

Why not order a flamenco guitar made to your specifications by one of the fine luthiers in Spain: Vicente Carrillo, Jesus Bellido, Manuel Adalid (Esteve), the Foro's own Anders Eliasson, etc.? It would not cost any more than it would to order an already-made guitar from an online store, and you would have an instrument made for you.

Cheers,

Bill

Totally agree. Just because the Euro is falling, doesnt mean that a dealer outside of Spain is going to lower the price. In fact they are going to keep the price to make some profit which has been very difficult to do in the last few years. Buy your guitar direct from a maker in Spain to take advantage of the exchange rate.

I have a nice blanca with an inlayed soundport for sale. Its slightly used by me and some local players here in Huelva during the last 5 month.

Price 2500,-€ (Normal price 3000,-€)

I also have a nice blana 2A for sale 1800,-€ (2000,-€ normal price)

Thanks, She's beautiful - but it's a bit over my budget.
I don't think European dealers will raise their prices. They will charge the same - in euros.
But since my Shekels buy more Euros now, then I can get more for the same money my salary is paid with.

thanks for the pic Anders, it looks very nice. I had seen that inlayed soundport
in couple of guitars before, one was from Argentina actually.

one question, how long would it take for you to make a classical guitar?
I have a client looking for a nice classical instrument.

thanks.

It's about time. This is the kind of economic good news I have been waiting for a long time.

In a nutshell, Made in Spain will be restored to its original affordable level, while Mexican and even American luthiers will need to lower their prices to remain competitive. The edge will be lost to a fair international trade.

It might have been an in-layed sound port you have seen on the Argentinian guitar, but it can't be this particular design, unless someone was very quick to copy it. This was designed by Anders together with a person I know very well :-). It would be cool to see how others have done it, do you have a picture of the Argentinian guitar or one of the others you mention?

???? You are excited about the exchange rate, yet an 1800E guitar is OUT of your budget???? Sorry, doesn't make much sense to me what kind of savings you are after. When I think about exchange rate and guitars, the idea is to save THOUSANDS of dollars.

True... Mors Tua Vita Mea... as the ancient wisdom had it on the gladiator's arena. Yet it is a recurrent cycle, as many phenomena in nature often are.

I am very happy for you, for being able to buy guitars in the 10s of thousands of dollars price league, so that a 10-20 percent exchange rate change will mean thousads of dollars for you.
However, for me, at this point, a few hunderd are meaningful.
I am looking at guitars 1000 or maybe 1500 $ max.
