Dear Emilio

You posted offering flamenco lessons last week and subsequently joined the forum. Your post generated several questions which you have ignored, or maybe never bothered to come back to view.

It appears you were just looking for free advertising in contravention of clause 7 of the forum agreement.

I have therefore deleted your post and removed you from our membership. Congratulations on becoming the first to be removed from this forum.

RE: Dear Emilio (in reply to Escribano

I was not aware of clause 7. I thought this forum was like others where people could share resources.
I have been busy and just came on the net recently. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I just wanted to offer beginner players who live in isolated areas a cheap service. I suppose they will just have to make do as I had to for most of my playing life. I would not say I am some big-time advertising mogul. Sorry that you think I am.

You accepted clause 7 of the agreement when you subsequently joined the forum. As you posted the advert before you joined you did not technically breach the agreement so I have reinstated your membership under the name you registered with i.e. "Person". You may put your website URL in your signature (in My Profile).

Emilio,

Why did you send me an email saying
"Hi,
Do you offer teacher discounts?

Emilio".

That is total marketing **** language in my department and not someone seriously interested in learning or helping others.

Speak genuinely, not in third party spam language.

I/we don't need that here.

If that's too much for you , then take a hike.

Hey Emilio,
When you said
quote:

I would not say I am some big-time advertising mogul
... I would say you were on you way

Ron, did that email come via this forum?

Simon,
No, it was a direct email from idx.com.au
I was going to can it along with all the other spam mail, since it contained the usual spam style header "Teacher Discounts", but I had just read the name "Emilio" on the Forum just a few minutes before.

RE: Dear Emilio (in reply to Ron.M

It just occured to me that maybe Emilio was enquiring about the Flamenco Master program in which case I sincerely apologise for my misunderstanding.
These days I tend to delete anything with "discount" or "hi" or suchlike in the subject header unless I recognise the sender.
It's just the way the Internet is now.
My inbox is overflowing with spam.
If I ever write to someone who doesn't know me, I'm always very specific about the subject matter otherwise I usually don't get a reply.

On the issue of discounts Emilio, I normally charge double for Teachers, but then apply a 50% discount to make it the same cost as for anyone else.

Again, sorry if I misunderstood you.

Why don't you tell us about yourself?
Maybe even upload a little bit of playing if you want?

Ron

I thought he was asking for a discount on your mentronome and you were giving a typical Scots response to such a request
