Two compás questions

Fandangos: I've heard fandangos strictly in threes and I've heard them accenting the 8, 10, 12 during the letras. I do the latter, doesn't bother dancers, but completely threw off two cajón players I know. Lack of experience on their part or should fandangos only be in threes?

Sevillanas - the intro from the singer is 3x3 and the guitar usually sets in on the following 1. There are popular danceable sevillanas for solo guitar where I believed the solo intro is 3x3 and the guitar sets in with a golpe on 1 and rasgueado begins on the two. Am I correct on this? There's a sevillana from Sabicas in aminor which is a good example of this. Also lack of experience from the cajón guys or should the guitar always start directly on the 1?
