If any of you are in Canada, and more specifically, southern Ontario, and want to take in a flamenco concert, I just was made aware of one.
Juan Martin is going to be in a town called Port Hope, at the Capitol Theatre (link: http://www.capitoltheatre.com/). It's an hour's drive east of Toronto on the 401, about halfway between Toronto and Kingston. Port Hope is the next town to the west of my hometown (cobourg) and so I'm going to attend, and possibly get a few people to go.

ps. For the record, my favourite flamenco guitarist is Juan Serrano.

RE: Ontario, Canada concert in November (in reply to Nemo Nint)
Thanks for the heads-up Tom, I'm in Kingston and might just be able to make it to that. It's Friday November 2nd., 8:00pm in case anyone else in this area is interested, we don't get much flamenco around here, let alone this caliber.

True that, about flamenco in this area. Ive just barely heard of a few things that take place in Toronto, and something in Montreal. Nothing between though.
So, this could be great!
Seriously, a sad fact about my person is I've never had the pleasure of seeing or hearing any person play flamenco live, in any situation, except for what I do myself.
Jim, depending on how you're travelling, and if you had time & interest on that Friday, you could stop by my place on the way (from my place to the theatre is around a 15-20 minute drive) and chat or listen to some music or play some even. And of course if that was an interest, you might also want to bring your guitar too...

Hi Jim
I'm not fluent with the ways pms and messages are sent and delivered on this board, so if you didn't get my PM.....
The Capitol Theatre website (www.capitoltheatre.com) has an online boxoffice and when I bought my ticket, there was 19 left. Now there are more it says, 22 or so, but if you can figure on making it to the concert, you should book your ticket soon!
I got a seat in I:13... almost exactly in the middle of the auditorium
