This picture was taken on December 17, 1987 which was my father’s birthday. My father was a U.S. Marine and at one time the Communications Officer at Treasure Island. Treasure Island is half way between San Francisco and Oakland, California and the San Francisco – Oakland Bay Bridge is attached to it.
What is interesting about this picture is that it was taken at 7 PM and was 72 degrees! It is a picture of the San Francisco skyline from the east.

Yes I work for BP. Have done time in the Bahamas, South America, and Russia. I am obviously in Alaska now and love it. Here is a picture of my grandson at one of our favorite places, Eklutna Lake. The lake is fed by the Eklutna Glacier and is very beautiful. You can just see the glacier just to the right of the middle of the photo.

Hi Matic, No problems yous english is very clear, I just didn't know why a village would be there in the first place but you explained that. Beautiful.

This is a great thread!!! Indeed very refreshing. really made me smile looking at these pics. Jbash, I know what you mean, laying on the concrete with our pidgeons. it is a bit different to laying in the meadow with the cows in matics pic. but I reckon we could show 'em some pics of london that surprise a few folk. Watch this space!
