they (Germany) had 1 draw in the cup,but argentina had ALL WINs before the final!
True, but look at the scores for all six games each played. Germany scored 17 goals against its opponents, while its opponents only scored four goals against Germany. Argentina scored only 12 goals against its opponents, while its opponents scored five against Argentina. That appears to make Germany dominant, in my opinion, even if Germany did draw with Ghana.

Their match againt Brazil was a BREEZE and that got them 7 goals... Right then and there the balance is broken on comparing the numbers.
No more so than Argentina scoring four goals against the Netherlands in their penalty shootout. Penalty shootouts are nothing to brag about in scoring goals.
My point is not to denigrate Argentina's play in the World Cup. Overall they played great. My point is that I think Germany deserved to win, and they did. You can agree or disagree, but there it is. There's always 2018 to look forward to.

That shows you don't fully understand the difference between scoring four actual goals and four goals in penalty shootout.
On the contrary, I certainly do understand the difference, which is the reason I mentioned it above as nothing to brag about in adding to overall goals scored.
Regarding your disagreement, shroomy, that's what makes the Foro so interesting. It would be pretty dull if we all agreed on various topics.

And what's best, we agree to disagree in an agreeable manner. The "Off Topic" section is turning into a model of civility for the Foro.

And now, to lighten up this agreeably civil discussion a little further, here's something for Bill and any other historians:
Epic Soccer-Like Battles of History
Brilliant.
In any event, I enjoyed this World Cup immensely, and now miss the special treat we indulged every day for a month and the heated discussion each game provoked, before and after.
When we were kids, the religious silence that kept every street quiet during the game was then broken by soccer balls hitting the garage doors everywhere, each kid yelling the name of their favorite player to charge his shot, Rivera and Rivelino, Maradona and Zico.
Now, instead, we discuss the game, but I feel that the spirit hasn't changed.
(By the way, Bill, saya terlambat datang ke diskusi, tapi... tentang post anda pertama di atas - itu benar, pak! )
Wah! Terima kasih, Pak Estevan. Di mana anda belajar Bahasa Indonesia? Apakah anda tinggal di Indonesia? Jika begitu, di mana anda tinggal?
Sebenarnya, olahraga kesukaan saya adalah baseball. Namun, seseorang harus mengawasi World Cup.
