hello friends, im a relative newby to forums such as this and was wondering if anybody could give me the lowdown on forum'ediqutte', apart from the obvious, like uploading offensive material or posting offensive language. my sense of humour may offend others and others may find it amusing, how are you supposed to know when to draw the line between a joke and something that may potentially offend someone if you dont think your even pushing the envelope? what about 'upload ediquette' if theres such a thing, for example; dont upload more than 2 or 3 things things in any given period of time, can one become an 'upload hog'! im thinking of joining this forum, it looks really cool. ive never joined a forum and dont know the first thing about forum ediquette, all i really want to know is the more basic things that people may assume you already know.
just relax and read through the existing stuff to get an idea of what not to say. So welcome to the forum. It's a good one, and everuone seems pretty cool. If you do write something bad it won't last long. So chill out and enjoy. Larone
First of welcome to this forum. As Larone said, just relax and join the show. This is probably the most relaxed forum I've ever seen on the internet, and if something gets to hot, we are normeally capable of sorting things out without to many problems. Remember that on the internet, with so many different cutural backgrounds, many things can be misunderstood, so it's normally a good idea to go slow on jokes, irony and sarchasm. Don't worry about uploading to much. Just remember that many "trivial" questions like what strings to use, might not get many replies, because people are tired of answering them. Take a look around, use the search option to find some old posts that might interest you. But most of all, just be yourself and enjoy this site. There's a very nice atmosphere here.

Some advice on posting:
1. Don't drink and post 2. Read twice then post once 3. If in doubt about reactions to your undoubted wit - don't post it 4. Using smileys can help (a little) 5. Our Forum Agreement http://www.foroflamenco.com/register.asp covers most everything else

I'll drink to that.
Ehr...Do I have to read it twice if I see it double the first time ?
